Geology

Geology

Geologie

Throughout geological development, rocks are formed by melting in the depths of the Earth, by volcanic activity and sedimentation in the sea and freshwater basins. Due to tectonic movements during mountain-building processes, surface rocks mix with rocks of the Earth's mantle, where they are transformed at high temperatures and pressures - metamorphosis.

Universe

Vesmír

Big Bang. According to today's idea, which is based on a number of precise measurings, mainly by measuring relict (residual) radiation, which apart from small fluctuations (deviations) evenly fills the entire universe, the universe was created 13.8 billion years ago by the big bang. Before the big bang there was nothing. There was no time, no space, and all that today’s universe containes was compressed into an unimaginabely small perhaps nucleus or singularity – a place without dimensions.

Solar System

Sluneční soustava

In countless galaxies, cosmic islands shine stars. The space among them is filled with an interstellar gas, unused star-forming matter, nebulae, remains of supernova explosions, huge clouds of dust and many other objects. About 4.6 billion years ago in a galaxy - now we call it Milky Way, to which belongs our solar system, a cloud of dust began shrinking by its own gravity – accretion.

Earth

Země

Earth Structure. The cosmic period of development of Earth and other objects in the solar system, which began with accretion of matter 4.6 billion years ago, ended. Heavy bombardment ended as well. Pieces of unused building material ceased to fall on planets and their moons. The surfaces of celestial bodies slowly cooled down. Approximately 4.0 billion years ago the cosmic period of planetary evolution, including our planet, ends.

Silicates

Křemičitany

Omnipresent Silicates. We call the uppermost part of our planet the crust. It reaches a depth of about 80 km up to the hot outer mantel. It is composed mainly of silicates, which are the main rock-forming minerals of all igneous rocks and metamorphic rocks. Next to the most common quartz, there are feldspars, micas, pyroxenes and amphiboles.

Pseudomorphs

Pseudomorfózy

Inclusion and Pseudomorphs. The word inclusion desrcibes an enclosure, which means that something else is enclosed in something different. We see this expression in various fields. It is often used to describe inclusions in minerals and rocks. Important and generally valid is the fact that an inclusion is always as old or more often genetically older than the environment in which it is enclosed.

About us

Jam in the field

The name Jam – is originated from Jazz jamming - jazz improvisation - playing at casual gatherings of musicians. We borrowed this name from jazzmen, because collectors are similar to them, they consult things together equally, they are looking for either the right tones or stones, and together they rejoice in new findings and their processing.

Colors, structures, incredible combinations of perfect visual design, all this and much more contain minerals - stones of all kinds and forms, masterpieces of nature. People have been collecting them for centuries, whether for magical or spiritual reasons, or just to bring them joy and please their eyes. We focus mainly on agates from Czech and foreign localities. We like the most our own collection at localities Rovně in the Czech Republic and from foreign sites it is Mexico, the Chihuahua region. These stones full of fantastic worlds and images inspire us to many activities, not only in music, but also in art and product design (graphics). Those who are interested in the formation of agates and the entire universe and planet Earth can go to the link (geology). If you would like more information, write to our email (contact). Every collector and nature lover, who admires stones, is welcome to our website.
Cheers to stones!
